As many of you know, I am currently attending University of Phoenix. I am working on my Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration. I believe it is very important to learn smart college career "moves" or "tips". I mean, really if you are not going to make smart college career moves then what is the point in attending any college and obtaining a degree?

I was sent Smart College Career Moves Audio CD to review. I was very impressed after I listened to Smart College Moves. It helps shift your thought process into a marketable job candidate. It leaves you with a sense that you can achieve something remarkable. It gets you in that career mode.

I know that I want to obtain a job at a local hospital or private physician's office, but really have no clue where to start once I get my degree. Smart College Career Moves taught me some really good tips to get myself ready to obtain a career!

 My favorite parts of this Audio CD was "What Employers Look For" and "Harness the Power of A Positive Attitude."

Another great thing about Supermarket Smarty is that is not only for food products! I can go to Walmart with this and have my list for my household or personal items! Another HUGE thing I LOVE about this is the coupon pocket! I am sure you already know I am a coupon user! All I have to do is tuck my coupons inside the pocket and be on my way. Can you say easy?! There is so much that a new parent has to keep up with after having a baby. Feeding times, changing times, sleep schedule just to name a few.

The Newborn Necessities book is a great way to keep track of all these things. I really like that Newborn Necessities sets up guidelines to what to expect when doing things for your baby. It is also very understandable. You can use this book if you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding.



I remember when I had Haley and Amberly. The nurses wanted me to keep up with all their feedings, diaper changes, bowel movements. I was overwhelmed with everything that I was suppose to keep up with. I wish I had Newborn Necessities then and I am glad I have it now for when I have another baby!

 I was sent The Attitude Girl by Mila Bernadkin to read and review.

I also got to interview Mila Bernadkin. She is such a kind and interesting woman! I really loved corresponding with her!

My Thoughts:

I could not put this book down. It was about a young woman coming of age. I was very intrigued by all the drama, emotional conflict, tribulations and romance and humor. It was jam-packed with so many different emotions. It really did remind me of  my teenage years. The Attitude Girl is about a 17 year old girl named Victoria Benson. The story follows her on the road to adulthood as she struggles with many different things. Such as financial setbacks (all teenagers face this), bullying, first love, loss and forgiveness.

I really like that everybody around Victoria thought she had a major attitude problem, but through her eyes she was a realistic and honest person. She spoke what she thought and felt.

I really related to Victoria. I was the type of person (well still am) that speaks their mind. I felt liberated when I read this book.

Mini Interview with Author Mila Bernadkin: 

Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

 I was born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, a beautiful resort city on the Black Sea. I emigrated from the former Soviet Union and came to the United States in 1977. In the USSR, I graduated from the Brest Music College, with a BA-equivalent degree in theory of music and music literature and accepted a teaching position at a children’s music school. After moving to the States, I became a Senior Programmer-Analyst, working at several of the largest financial institutions in New York City. However, medical reasons forced my early retirement, and I realized my life-long dream of becoming a published, award-winning writer.

When did you begin writing?

 I used to edit my school newspaper in the USSR. In America, I did a lot of technical writing while working in IT. After retiring, I took some writing classes (intermediate and advanced) at the Institute of Children Literature and began to write. 

What was your inspiration for The Attitude Girl?

 I was inspired by my experience as an ex-teacher and the mother of an ex-teenager to create a story that every parent and every young adult can understand and relate to.

How would you describe The Attitude Girl?

 The Attitude Girl is a novel, written for young adults, ages 15 and up, and their parents. As a fellow-author said, "It's a wonderful read for the young and the young at heart." It's a coming-of-age story that follows a 17-year-old girl, who's outspoken and materialistic, on her rocky road to adulthood as she struggles with financial setbacks, first love, idealism, loss, forgiveness, and, most of all, her attitude. The book is jam-packed with drama and emotional conflict, trials and tribulations, romance and humor. It's a compelling winner of 8 literary awards.

Haley and Amberly's favorite part of summer: Bubbles!

Haley and Amberly was sent Super Miracle Bubbles Premium Plus Bubble Bonanza to help with their favorite activity for the summer!

This was AWESOME! It came with so many different wands for them to make bubbles with! They did not know which one to use first!

This includes 23 exciting bubble wands, a 4oz bottle of bubbles and a dipping tray! Everything you need for a perfect bubble day!

With such a variety of wands, Haley and Amberly made huge bubbles to really small bubbles. It was a great way to teach them the difference in sizes. (I am always looking for cool ways to show them things like that.) It was a lot of fun to watch them grab a wand, dip it and blow a bubble. Then grab another one and start all over!

Amberly's favorite one was the little "musical" looking one. Sometimes being 3, it can be hard to get a bubble to blow out of the regular ones but she had no problem blowing bubbles out of these ones. It was great!

A huge part of going out and having fun in the sun is being out in the sun! But being on in the sun can lead to SUNBURN. Nobody wants to be sunburned!

You have to have a good sunscreen to fully protect you from the sun. Sunscreen is very important in my household. I have two people that will burn so easily. My husband and my youngest daughter, Amberly. If you have seen previous posts, you have seen a picture of my youngest. Fair skinned and bright red hair. 10 minutes out in the sun, she is burnt. So I have to be very careful with her. The same goes for my hubby!

The SPF 10 is meant for everyday use and SPF 30 is meant for longer spans of time in the sun. Such as going to the beach or playing in the pool!

I am reviewing Dr. Barry Sears Zones 1-2-3 Foods. I am currently on week 1. This is the first food program I have ever participated in. I really did not know what to expect. Was the food going to be good? What was the food going to look like?! I had no clue!

What I am liking about Zone 1-2-3 Foods:

• The smell. The smell alone is just awesome. I can smell the flavors!


• The taste. Everything has been so great. I have really like the cookies! Who knew that you could eat cookies and still be on a diet!

I received a Soda Stream to review! I was so excited when I learned that I would be receiving one to review. I have always wanted to try this out!

At first I had no clue what to expect or what to do when I received this!

I was sent the Fountain Jet Starter Kit with MANY different flavors to try out. I was giddy with delight when I opened the box and saw everything. There are over 30 flavors to choose from! I was even sent an Energy flavor! I can make my own energy drink!! 

Set up was very easy. The instructions were very easy to understand.

First you have to remove the cover from the back and insert the carbonator gas cartridge. At first, I thought it was going to be hard to set up. But it wasn't. It really could not be any easier!

Once the cartridge is screwed into place, you will snap the cover back into place. The next step is to fill the bottle with cold water up to the fill line. You are suppose to chill the water. I already had some cold water in the fridge and that is what I used. One thing I noticed about the bottle is that is NOT dishwasher safe. It will mess up the bottle if you wash it in the dishwasher.

Carbonating Bottles

SodaStream carbonating bottles are specially designed, high pressure-resistant bottles for use with SodaStream soda makers. SodaStream PET carbonating bottles are BPA-free and may be reused for up to 2 years. The glass carafes included with the Penguin soda maker may be used indefinitely, with proper care. Every SodaStream bottle and carafe comes with a fizz-preserving cap that helps to keep drinks fresh and fizzy longer than store-bought bottles.

The bottle will then be screwed into the Soda Stream. It is very easy to install the bottle. Once the bottle is screwed on, you will press the button on top 3 times to carbonate the water. Make sure you press the button until a loud noise happens and then quickly release. I think 3 times is just enough to carbonate the water just right.

Then you will take the flavor you want to make (I first did Cola). It comes with a measuring  cup. Fill the measuring cup up and then tilt the bottle towards you and slowly pour the flavoring in the bottle. Then you put the cap on the bottle and LIGHTLY shake the bottle.

You are done and can enjoy your soda!!

I was very impressed with Soda Stream. I was iffy on what I thought the Cola would taste like. It tasted just like the kind you can buy from the store! This is just way easier and cheaper in the long run to make your own!

Wanna here my favorite part about Soda Stream? It takes NO electricity or batteries to work! When I first saw this, I was like "What?!" It is really neat to own a product that takes no batteries or electricity to work!

So, a beach trip is going to happen this summer. The one thing that gets on my nerves is the time it takes to get all the sand off my children. Once they get wet and step back onto the sand, the sand just cakes up on them. Pain in my butt!

But, I found a great product that makes it super easy to get the sand off! Sand Gone! It really works! I was provided a small bag of sand to use to test this product out. The best part of Sand Gone is that all natural and non-toxic! A great product to use on children!



The first thing I noticed when I opened my container of Sand Gone was the smell. It smells really good. Reminds me of the coconut butter smell. It was easy to apply and afterwards the skin where I tested was super silky and smooth!

I received two bottles of Country Bob to review. Country Bob is an all purpose sauce. Let me start by saying OMG, this is soooo good!

It was 1968 when Country Bob Edson perfected his sauce recipe and today we call it All Purpose Sauce because it was more than just a steak sauce. Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce has remained the flagship item since 1982 when Country Bob, Inc. was established.

This is how I like to use Country Bob.

I take a package of beef tips. I take one whole bottle and simmer the beef tips in the sauce. It usually gets very watery. So after the meat cooks through, i will drain the watery sauce and add another bottle in with the beef tips. This time is will get thick since the meat is already cooked. I let it cook for another 5-6 minutes. Then my family eats up! It is really good and has this raspy homey taste.

But you can use Country Bob on anything. Chicken, beef, hamburgers. Even seafood! You name it!

I found a really cool recipe on their website. I will most def. be making this for my children.

Ingredients :

8 slices bread, buttered
4 slices cooked ham
6 Tbsp Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce (or may substitute Spicy)
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese

Recipe Method :

Place ham on unbuttered side of 4 slices of bread. Spread each ham slice with 1 1/2 tsp Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce. Top with cheese and remaining bread slices, buttered side up. Grill sandwiches in large skillet over medium heat, turning once, until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve with additional Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce.

I was able to choose a Costume Squad Tshirt for review! Costume Squad has some really funny tshirts that I got to choose from. I chose the Back to the Future Hoverboard Tshirt, which you can find in the 80's Tshirts section of Costume Squad.

Now from all their different categories, the 80's section really stuck out to me. I was born in 1986 so I remember growing up with all these TV shows featured. I remember watching Back to the Future with my sister when we was little. One of my favorite parts was when Marty was riding the Hoverboard as fast as he could to get away from the bullies. I can still see that part in my head as clear as day!

It was really hard to just pick one Tshirt from Costume Squad but a few others that I liked were Bacon...Its that good tshirt, Blue Power Ranger Tshirt & Boys are stupid throw rocks at them tshirt!

I was able to choose a Nacho Mama Tee Shirt for review! I know, awesome right? I LOVE shirts that have cool graphics or funny sayings on them! I choose the Dino DNA Tshirt, which you can find it the 80s Tshirts section of the website.


I must say that the fabric these tshirts are made of are really comfortable. I ordered a XL and it fits me really good. I love tshirts that fit good. The graphics look really good on the fabric. It is vivid and bright. Do you know what movie Dino DNA is from? JURASSIC PARK! How flippin' awesome is that?!!
When I was a little girl, I use to watch Jurassic Park a million times. It was and still is my favorite movie so when I saw this Tshirt I knew I must have it!

I was sent Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Jr, set of 6 illustrated books, and set of audio cds that accompany the books! All these items help teach children the meaning of money and how save and spend wisely.
I became a fan the minute I started to look at these products! Haley and Amberly started to scream and jump when they saw all the books!



I just received these today and I have already read the 6 books 3 times to them! Out of the six books, Haley & Amberly loved The Big Birthday Surprise. I have had problems before on their birthdays. They both can become very out of control and mean on their birthdays. I loved how The Big Birthday Surprise help teach ways to give to others on their special day. I want my children to be polite and nice to others and these books help with that. The pictures are so vivid throughout these books. Junior was a cute little kid in these books. These books also came with 6 audio Cds. So, if I don't have time to read these books to them (say I am cooking dinner), I can pop these Cds in and let them listen to the stories! What a plus!!

The Super Red Racer
Junior really, really wants an awesome new bike, but he doesn't have the money to buy it. So, what does he do? He goes to work to earn the money! Join him on his adventure to learn the rewards of hard work.

Now, the Financial Peace Jr. is a really cool product. It came with dry-erase boards to keep track of savings and commission, a coin purse, magnets for giving, saving, and spending, a kid's sized calculator, envelope system and an instruction manaual for parents. Immediately, Amberly snatched up the calculator and started to push all the numbers! Now I loved that this kit is for ages 3-12. I have never seen a financial program set up for young ages starting at 3! I was very impressed! This kit helps teach children the value of earning money. I have set up the dry-erase boards on my fridge and I am going to keep track of savings for them. I love teaching my girls the meaning of saving money since I am so frugal already! I got two little frugal spenders & savers on my hands!
