Going Green: Shaklee Review & Giveaway

I am loving my Going Green series! I am being introduced to so many wonderful eco-friendly "green" products!

I love products that are good for the planet and do not have harmful ingredients. I have became so much more aware of what I bring in this house ever since I had my girls. I don't want to clean with something that will harm them! (My biggest goal is to protect my children. So I got to think of the smaller things as well!)

I was introduced to a wonderful company, Shaklee!

Shaklee is America's number one natural nutrition company. The provide products that make people and the planet healthier.

Shaklee provided me with Get Clean Starter Kit-Regular Scent . And as a bonus, I was also sent Sports Nutrition Pack!

My kit included:

My first impression was WHOA! This is great! My first impression was right!

Want to know what I LOVE about these products? You will up the bottles with water and it takes a few drops to 1 tablespoon of the cleaning mixture. This stuff is going to last me FOREVER!

There are 3 different bottles: Windows, All-Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser.

So, I put these to the test.

I was very impressed and pleased when I got done. It does not take a lot of the paste to work. I just need a little bit and some water. I used the scrub pad that was included in my kit. Less than 3 minutes and my stove eye was looking a lot better. Cleaning my stove eyes is a huge pain in my butt actually. I have NEVER found a product that has gotten them as clean as they are now. Even scolding hot water and bleach have never gotten it that clean!! I am in love with Shaklee! The next thing I am going to tackle with this is inside my stove! I have high hopes it is going to work great!!

I was introduced to a great Auto Care Facility! Honest-1 Auto Care is a environmental friendly auto repair and maintenance franchise chain! I have been searching for "Going Green" products and services to start up my "Going Green" Series. I was very pleased to learn about Honest-1 Auto Care.



What I like about Honest-1 Care Auto:

I love the fact that Honest-1 Care Auto is "female friendly." I also love that they have a children's play area! That is one of the biggest issues that I come across. Trying to get my oil changed and sitting in a lobby with two loud rowdy children. A play area is a wonderful idea! I give 5 thumbs up!

My favorite aspect of Honest-1 Auto Care is the Children's Play area. What other family services do you provide?

What kind of oils does Honest-1 Auto Care use?

• One of Honest-1 Auto Care’s oils is G-OIL. G-OIL is produced by Green Earth Technologies and is priced comparatively to synthetics and similarly performing products. Unlike traditional petrochemical-based motor oil, G-OIL is made with American-grown renewable animal fats, which have no harsh effects on the environment and drastically cut the nation’s dependence on foreign oil.
  


• Honest-1 Auto Care also makes available re-refined oil for use in oil changes. Re-refined oil is oil that is removed from the crankcase, sent out to a refinery that removes the dirt, grime, etc. It then adds back in the necessary additives and makes an oil that is identical to that produced as virgin oil. The re-refining process uses 80% less energy than the refining of virgin oil and serves as an alternative supply of oil that requires no drilling.

How did Honest-1 Auto Care start?

• Beginnings
  

• Honest-1 Auto Care was founded in 2003. The original founders started the franchising program by opening new locations and then selling them to individual franchisees
  


• In 2007, Gary and Lisa Messer purchased the company and began building an organization that would better act as a franchise system. In January 2008, Jack Keilt was brought on as a partner and President and CEO. Jack brought a background of 33 years in franchising in several industries.
  


• During the first year at H-1 Jack, Rissy Sutherland and the staff essentially rebuilt Honest-1and since then they have expanded the company throughout the US

I like all the different categories! Shopping has never been easier! Everything is already on this list! All I have to do is check what I need on these lists! No more paper lists for me! I also like that is reusable! After I am done shopping, all I have to do is wipe it off and it is ready for my next shopping trip. Another great thing about Supermarket Smarty is that is not only for food products! I can go to Walmart with this and have my list for my household or personal items! Another HUGE thing I LOVE about this is the coupon pocket! I am sure you already know I am a coupon user! All I have to do is tuck my coupons inside the pocket and be on my way. Can you say easy?! I also love the meal planner! The meal planner easily fits into the coupon pocket as well. Great way to plan your meals ahead of time!
