Event Divas @ Shopping Cart Divas

Shopping Cart Divas is one of my favorite places to find frugal information. I am excited to announce that I am apart of Event Divas! I have tons of fun of participating in this. Bissell Powerforce Review

A family member gave me a Bissell Powerforce vacuum cleaner and I must say it has been the best vacuum I have ever used. It has great suction power and many attachments that I can use for cracks and the couch and so forth. Now this vacuum is not bag less like the one I had before but I must admit that this vacuum has better suction and cleaning power than my old vacuum cleaner.

I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner. It has suited my needs with a family of two small children. I am constantly having to clean up spilled food, crumbs, paper and so forth and this vacuum has been able to help clean up all the messes.

Ford Recalls 1998-2003 Ford Windstar Vans!!

Ok. I have seen several recalls over the past several months but this has really caught my attention. I own a 1998 Windstar. Ford has issued a voluntary recall of 575,000 1998-2003 windstars. I am completely shocked by this. I am definitely calling and seeing what can be done.

The rear axle can fracture over time when exposed to corrosive materials used on roads in cold-weather areas. This can lead to crashes.

The company received multiple complaints of completely cracked rear axles.

Ford says all service and parts will be covered free of charge if needed. Owners can contact Ford at 866-436-7332 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hot line at 888-327-4236

Breaking news!!! Walgreens has an official coupon policy!!!

Ok. So this may seem stupid to some of you, but in my world this is HUGE. Walgreens is the main place that would give me problems about using coupons. I have had bad experiences with Walgreens. I have been waiting and waiting for a coupon policy for Walgreens. That day has finally came. 

Here is the link to the coupon policy. Print it out!! My favorite coupon policy is that they can adjust coupon values. Say the product is 4.99 and the coupon is 5 they have to adjust the coupon to 4.99

Healthy Habits

I came across some very helpful tips on how to develop healthy habits. These tips were provided by Revolution Foods. 

Developing healthy habits can be tricky. These helpful tips can help start the path to healthy habits. I thought these tips were a great way to develop a healthy plan for my children. I have been researching different ways to incorporate organic and healthy meals for my two girls. Have any tips you want to share with me? Go right ahead and tell me. 

1. Reduce, Don't eliminate. If your favorite food are high in fat, salt or sugar, just reduce how much and how often you eat them. Eating should also be pleasurable.


2. Don't skip meals. Make sure you eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner daily!


3. Find balance. Make sure all the foods groups are represented evenly in your diet. Your plate should include fruits, veggies, grains and a protein.


4. Drink Water. Sometimes your body thinks its hungry when all it's really cravings is some water. Give it what it needs.


5. Gimme five! Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Try to eat at least one fruit or veggie with every meal!


6. Eat a rainbow! Your body needs a variety of vitamins and minerals everyday to keep strong, so make sure your plate is full of color.


7. Sharing is caring. Enjoy a meal with a friend or family member.


8. Snack attack. Sometimes you may feel hungry in between meals, so feel free to munch on good choices such as fruits, veggies or some yummy trail mix.


9. Help out in the kitchen. Learn your family's secret recipes and get everyone involved in the action.


10. Indulge in nature's candy. Want a sweet, natural way to finish your meal? Enjoy a piece of fruit with yogurt for dessert!

I must admit that this is one of the cutest freebies I have seen this year. Free recordable book titled Xander and The Wind. All you need is a microphone and a camera. You can do this and your child and listen and watch you read this book to them.  Just register and you will see the free book on their little bookshelf. Registration is easy.
