Ok. I have seen several recalls over the past several months but this has really caught my attention. I own a 1998 Windstar. Ford has issued a voluntary recall of 575,000 1998-2003 windstars. I am completely shocked by this. I am definitely calling and seeing what can be done.
The rear axle can fracture over time when exposed to corrosive materials used on roads in cold-weather areas. This can lead to crashes.
The company received multiple complaints of completely cracked rear axles.
