I remember when Haley was born. I did not know what I was doing! I wish I had Help! My Baby Came Without Instructions! then!!

Have you ever had that overwhelming feeling when you was a first-time mom/dad, or even a second, third, fourth?

This book is jammed packed with some helpful tips to help you survive and enjoy the first year with your baby. I was sent Help! My Baby Came Without Instructions! by Blythe Lipman.

My thoughts:

I really enjoyed reading all the great chapters. I really enjoyed reading the chapter: Sweet Dreams. This was one of my favorite tips from this chapter:

• Babies can sleep through anything. Get them used to the everyday noises in your home from day one. No tiptoeing or whispering. Turn that music on and dance to your heart's content.

I also really like this tip:

• Make a recording of you or Daddy singing lullabies and play them over and over for her.

Another part of this book that I really like is that there are snippets from different couples telling a little story from their life. I really laughed at this because it has happened to Adam and I before.

The Birthday Present

Letting a baby sleep in bed with parents can have a downside. On my husband's birthday morning, he was greeted with his little princess having quite the poopy all over our bed. What a way to say Happy Birthday, Daddy!

I also enjoyed the chapter: Time to Chew. I liked how it broke down food that are easy to chew and foods that are harder to chew. I also liked that a list of foods was provided that are good for the little ones.

I think this is a great book to have and read for new Mommies and Daddies, but also great for repeaters. Such as 2nd baby, 3rd baby and so on. I know that when I had Amberly, there were lots of little things that I forgot about. This book is so helpful!

Since we have received these dvds, the girls have watched it atleast 10 times! They love it! Haley pretends to be Wisharoo and Amberly pretends to be Monkey B! Too cute!!

I was recently offered a free membership to Care4hire.com. Care4hire.com is an online family and caregiver database providing babysitters, housekeepers, tutors, pet sitters, elder/companion care and other misc. services!

I was very impressed with the extensive list of babysitters and housekeepers. That is what I searched for! LOL. It would be nice to find a good housekeeper at a good rate! The list just went on and on and on! It was amazing. It also tells you information on the person. For example, experience or if he or she has ever worked with kids/the ages of the children and so forth.

I have never hired anybody to watch my children before. It is actually a nerve-wrecking thought for me. I am very particular about who watches my children. I love the fact that I can look at their qualifications and see their experience. I want the most qualified person to watch my children!

It is really easy to join and there is a free preview of available caregivers for families for 7 days. Once you become a registered member, you will be given immediate access to caregivers through email and phone.

I think this would be great for me when I need somebody to watch the girls a few hours while I run some errands. :D
