I Sleep In My Own Bed Review & Giveaway

"Mommy, I can't sleep in my bed tonight!" 
"Why?"
"I am too scared."


This is a conversation that I have almost nightly with my daughter, Haley. I have tried several techniques to help her sleep in her own bed. Nothing ever seems to work long term. 


So, when I was given the chance to review "I Sleep in My Own Bed" with Haley, I knew I had to jump on it. "I Sleep in My Own Bed" takes a child on a journey to all the places they wouldn't want to sleep and outlines the reasons why their own bed is the perfect place to sleep.

I really enjoyed reading this book to Haley. My favorite part of this book was when it said "I don't go to sleep in my big sister's bedroom because...she's weird." It really made me laugh.  I also really liked this part "I don't sleep in Rex's house because...he's a dog. Daddy said he was in the doghouse once, but I don't know what he meant!"


The illustrations were really cute. Haley really enjoyed looking at the pictures. At the end of the book, I asked her why she sleeps in her own bed. She said, "I sleep in my own bed because it makes mommy very happy." She knows how to melt my heart!


I make sure to read this book to her every night to help remind her all the reasons why she sleeps in her bed. It has worked rather well. "I Sleep in My Own Bed" is a very cute and effective book. If you are having problems with your child sleeping in their own bed, I recommend you trying to read this book to him/her!
